Robert P. Marshall (1991-1992)

Robert Marshall began his career at Triton College as Veterans' Advisor, a temporary position. After one year he joined the Triton College Admissions Office as a recruiter. He later worked at William Rainey Harper College as Assistant Director of Admissions and Records then went to Montgomery College in Germantown, Maryland as Director of Admissions and Records. In 1978 he joined Illinois Valley Community College as Director of Admissions and Records and in 1996 became Vice President for Student Services at IVCC. Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education.

Bob served Illinois ACRAO as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President for Professional Activities, and President. He credits Donn Stansbury (1976 President of IACRAO) from Harper and George Jorndt from Triton for encouraging him to become involved with IACRAO. In addition he attended several AACRAO national meetings.

Bob stated that IACRAO has helped identify Admissions and Records as a true profession. He praises the members of the organization as people willing and eager to help one another and share new ideas and solutions to problems. With technology in the forefront for higher education administrators the organization and its members continue to be reliable sources of information and guidance.
