Carol A. Kreider (1988-1989)

Carol Kreider received both her bachelors' and masters' degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Following graduation, she worked in Chicago as a research assistant for a commodities brokerage firm and then as an employee of Northwestern University Library. She taught second grade at the Avon Elementary School in Avon, Illinois before joining the Monmouth College admissions staff. Ms. Kreider became  the Admissions Recruitment Officer at Carl Sandburg College in 1977 and two years later became the Director of Admissions and Records at Carl Sandburg College. She continues to hold this position.

Ms. Kreider has been a member of IACRAO throughout her career as a registrar and an admissions officer. Beginning with her first year in the organization, Ms. Kreider held a number of positions within the organization. She first served as District Chairperson for the West Central District of IACRAO and later served as Vice President for Professional Development, Secretary, and eventually as President of IACRAO. She stated that she felt honored to represent IACRAO as its president when the organization hosted AACRAO in Chicago in 1989.

Ms. Kreider described IACRAO as being "an extremely supportive organization and very informative". She made many personal and professional friends through membership in IACRAO and appreciated the many words of wisdom and guidance that she received from them.
