Suzanne M. W. Anderson (1994-1995)

Suzanne Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education. While earning a Ph.D. in Education Administration she interned with the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University of North Dakota. Interested in working in Academic Affairs Suzanne was hired as the Associate Registrar in the mid 1980’s. In 1989 Suzanne accepted the position of Registrar at Bradley University and in 1999 took over as Registrar at Northwestern University. In 2006 Suzanne moved back to the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks as Registrar.

At her first IACRAO meeting in 1989 she realized that she would be involved with local arrangements for the 1991 meeting in Peoria, a meeting that will always be remembered for the falling tiles from the ballroom ceiling. After a successful year as Local Arrangements Chair, Suzanne served IACRAO as Vice President for Professional Activities, as chair of the SPEEDE Task Force and as President. She has also served AACRAO as a member of the SPEEDE Committee and as Vice Chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee.

Suzanne with her “can do” attitude led IACRAO through a budget crisis, and carried out unexpected additional responsibilities during her year as past president. Suzanne stated that IACRAO members are truly interested in being high quality professionals.
