Asa Carter (1942-1943)

Mr. Carter began at Bradley in 1918 as "soldier-instructor"in automobile mechanics. By 1920 he was teaching in the industrial arts department. Mr. Carter earned his bachelor's degree at Bradley in 1928 and his master's degree at Iowa State College in Ames, Iowa in 1933.

From 1933 to 1935 Mr. Carter was responsible for the Bradley student employment bureau. The bureau thrived under his direction and became an asset to the college, recording an unusually high total income for students.

On July 1, 1935 Mr. Asa Carter was appointed Registrar of Bradley Polytechnic Institute. He began attending meetings of the Illinois Association of College Registrars in October of that year.
