Illinois Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers

Election/Term of Office: Bylaws, Article V, Section 10. Equal Educaton Oppourtunity Officer. The E.E.E.O shall be elected for a term of two years and can serve one term only.

Reports to: President

Primary Function: To serve as an advocate for diversity within IACRAO.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Encourage the participation of minorities in the organization.
2. Serve as a member of the Nominating Committee.
3. Serve as a member of the Program Committee.
4. The E.E.O. Officer will also serve as the IACRAO representative at appropriate AACRAO meetings dealing with inclusiveness issues.
5. To bring to the attention of the President any known cases of discrimination within IACRAO.
6. Submit articles, according to established guidelines, to editor for publication in the Chronicle.
7. Bring archival material to February Board meeting for submission to archivist.

General:
It is the primary responsibility of the Equal Education Opportunity Officer to encourage minority members to become more active within IACRAO and AACRAO. To act as the ombudsman for the organization and when necessary to bring to the President or Executive Board matters which need to be resolved.
