District Chairperson-Elect/Secretary
Illinois Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers
Election/Term of Office: Not currently covered in bylaws; however, the
District Chairperson-Elect/Secretary is elected at the Annual Meeting and for
a term of one year. Upon completion of the one-year term, shall become the District
Chairperson
Reports to: District Chairperson
Primary Function: To serve as secretary to the district and assist the
District Chairperson as directed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Collect, maintain, and distribute minutes of all district meetings.
- Plan and conduct the annual spring district meeting.
- Collect and provide information on events, etc., from district membership
for publication in the Chronicle.
- Serve as chair in absence of elected Chairperson.
- Other duties as assigned by the District
Chairperson.
- Will automatically become District
Chair should some circumstances exist where the current chair can no longer
perform their duties.
- Should the circumstance in #6 above occur, may then conduct an election
within the district to elect a member to fill the remaining term as District
Chairperson-Elect/Secretary.
- Bring archival material to February Board meeting for submission to archivist.
